Lactic acid is an organic acid that comes in white color – if it is in solid form. It’s miscible with water. When it is dissolved, it forms a colorless solution. In industries, lactic acid is formed by lactic acid bacteria. It converts simple carbohydrates like glucose, sucrose, or galactose to lactic acid.
